Vents

This series of works are studies of ambient light, observed colour, and process. The metaphor of the vent as respiratory system became more poignant as the events of the spring and summer of 2020 developed. It also provided me with a repeatable form to act as a vessel for the other issues I've been researching for my MFA thesis (colour systems, depiction vs recording, subject/metaphor, process).
